Bishop Robert

Bishop Robert
On Tuesday 27th March we were visited by the Bishop of Tewkesbury, the Rt Revd Robert Springett. As school councillors it was our job to take the Bishop on a tour of our wonderful school. We started the tour outside looking at the three main parts to the school: the hall which was built in 1848; the extension into the staff which was built in 1871 and the newer part of the school (the current classrooms) which were built in 1994. We also talked to the Bishop about our close links to St Ethelbert's Church - we even challenged him to find the mistake on the church clock. Once we had finished the tour of the outside of the school, we took the Bishop to meet each class where the children presented what they would be doing during the Easter service later in the week. We finally made our way to the staff room for tea/hot chocolate and cakes where we asked the Bishop questions about his job.
