Littledean Church of England
Welcome to Littledean Church Of England Primary School’s website, we hope you find it useful and informative. We are a rural, village primary school of 104 pupils situated in the beautiful Forest of Dean, one mile outside of the small town of Cinderford and approximately 14 miles from Gloucester. Originally built in 1848, Littledean School was refurbished in 1994 to meet the demands of a modern education. It is situated in its own grounds which have been set up to encourage children’s investigative skills and desire to explore their environment. It includes a garden, forest school area and trim trail.
At Littledean Church of England Primary School we place children at the centre of all we do and our school motto is ‘Loving one another, building each other up.'
Our recent Ofsted Report (March 2017) stated 'the leadership team has maintained the good quality of education in the school since the last inspection'. We are proud that it has been noted that through our partnership with parents, the local church and members of the community we have 'developed a very strong and positive atmosphere where everyone works well together for the benefit of the pupils'.
In May 2015 we were graded 'OUTSTANDING' in our SIAMS inspection (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools). The report commended us on the ‘caring, nurturing ethos of the school’ and noted that the ‘impact of Christian values, especially friendship and forgiveness leads to high levels of respect and exemplary behaviour’
If you would like to come and see us, we would be delighted to show you around the school and answer your questions. Please telephone or call in to make an appointment with Mrs Hayley McGoldrick , Head Teacher or Mrs Wendy Worgan, Business Manager.
Our SENDCO is called Miss Zoe Haynes and she can also be contacted through the school office.
If you require a paper copy of the information contained on the school website, please contact the school office.
