Mathematics
As mathematicians, we calculate, investigate and solve problems to use in everyday life.
Key Instant Recall Facts
(KIRFS)

These are a set of important facts that children are expected to learn and recall quickly and accurately. They are designed to support the development of mental maths skills, helping pupils to become confident and fluent in their mathematical understanding.

Each year group is assigned specific KIRFs aligned with the national curriculum, such as number bonds, times tables, and key number facts. Practising KIRFs regularly at home and in school helps build a strong foundation for more complex mathematical concepts.
