Values and Ethos

Our Vision
Our vision is to enable our children, staff and families to build each other up through living out our Christian Values and our love for one another, encouraging those at the school and in the wider community to develop their full potential: academically, socially and spiritually.

Our Values

Our overarching value is LOVE, through which we encompass through our teaching and practice of the following Christian Values for Life:  Respect, Trust, Truthfulness, Forgiveness, Generosity, Justice, Friendship, Perseverance, Courage, Compassion, Service and Thankfulness.

Our Aims

At Littledean Church of England Primary school our aim is to be regarded as an integral part of the wider community. We encourage independence and a life-long love of learning in an environment where each individual is valued for who they are and the unique contribution that they bring.

Through our commitment to the development of Christian Values for Life we seek to enable, encourage and equip each child to develop their full potential: academically, socially and spiritually. We aim to provide a learning environment that is safe and conducive to learning through mutual respect and high expectations.

We strive to provide high quality teaching that takes into account the individual needs of every child. Through our commitment to the recruitment of high quality staff, on-going professional development, rigorous monitoring and willingness to embrace new ideas, we aim to ensure that all pupils receive an education that meets their very individual needs.

We also aspire to provide a curriculum that is broad, balanced and stimulating, giving scope for the children to investigate and problem solve, enabling them to participate actively in their own learning and develop skills that will assist them throughout the rest of their lives.

We welcome parents and families into our school and work to be part of the community so that there is a real partnership of children, parents, staff, governors and friends to provide the best opportunities for every child.

We work together to foster the Christian values of love, justice and understanding and value every individual for the contribution they make. Every child is encouraged to fulfil their potential and strive for high achievement.
