Holly Berries meet their Superheros

As part of their Superheros topic this term Holly Berries class have been meeting real life Superheros. Debbie Shields from the Police Dogs Department and Steve Parr and Craig McForquodale from the Traffic Department visited the school with Police dogs Kaiser and Holly.  Debbie showed the children how Kaiser responds to her and talked about the things he knows and can do, that are different from an everyday dog at home. Holly showed off her skills seeking out a hidden tennis ball in the grounds of the school.

Holly Berries Class was also shown around the traffic car and Brhianna was shown how to turn on the sirens. All in all the children and staff experienced a fun filled informative afternoon, where they learnt that we are very lucky to have real heroes on our doorsteps!

i SING POP
We have thoroughly enjoyed the whole i sing pop experience, it has been a fantastic experience that all member of the school community have been able to be part of.  We spent four days working with Natalie to learn a variety of songs which are based on developing an understanding of Christian values.  We then recorded the songs, with a sound engineer, to produce our very own CD.  The whole experience was rounded off with 2 performances at St Ethelberts Church, where we literally raised the roof!
